Insight Global VP, Fund Accounting in West Palm Beach, Florida

Job Description

A client in the private equity industry based out of West Palm beach is seeking a Vice President of Fund Accounting to join their team. The VP of Fund Accounting will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of multiple real estate private equity funds, as well as the related internal and investor information requests and requirements. This person needs strong attention to detail, a high aptitude for problem solving, and must have strong process and systems orientation. Time management is critical as priorities and responsibilities shift very quickly, on top of the regular monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting requirements. The client is in a period of rapid growth based on new funds being raised, so the individual must be able to thrive in a constantly changing environment. This position is located in West Palm Beach, Florida or Southfield, Michigan- hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.

RESPONSIBILITES AND AREAS OF OVERSIGHT BELOW:

* Maintain accurate and timely financial books and records for the company's investment vehicles

* Preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and associated reports

* Reconcile and prepare quarterly capital account statements inclusive of maintaining waterfall models and associated allocations

* Manage processes for capital calls, distributions, and related investor correspondence

* Maintaining line of credit balances and associated cash forecast for the funds

* Prepare and review quarterly investor-level questionnaires

* Evaluate all existing procedures related to Fund Accounting

* Continuously explore technology-based solutions for investment management platform/accounting providing

* Initiate and manage procedural changes where necessary and memorialize all processes

* Manage audit processes for existing four and any future funds

* Ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned

Skills and Requirements

* 5-7 years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting, experience with top 10 CPA firm desired

* Minimum of a BS in Accounting or Finance

* CPA

* Experience with Investment Company Accounting (Fair Market Value, GAAP Accounting, Etc.)

* Investment Accounting Systems experience required

* Focus on service and quality of information for internal and external clients

* Exceptional written and oral communication skills

* Significant systems automation experience

* Ability to multi-task and reprioritize

* Team-oriented mentality

* Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

* Ability to manage a team of at least 5 people (Controllers, Accountants, etc.) * experience with top 10 CPA firm

* MBA

* Experience with Accounting System: Yardi null
