Software Engineer (Hybrid - NYC)Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000Our client has developed a tool that automates the software work for end-to-end accessibility compliance in ADA, EAA, WCAG, and others. They work with developers and companies to proactively ensure their digital assets are inclusive from inception. Their platform helps detect accessibility violations. remediate issues, continuously monitor as well as view real-time metrics.They are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join their team, based in NYC. This is a hybrid position with 3-4 days in the office. As the Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:•Developing and enhancing their AI-driven accessibility compliance platform. •Building tools for automated accessibility testing and remediation, leveraging machine learning, and creating industry-leading technologies.•Turning Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) into automated scans and fixes to keep clients up to date on the latest accessibility standards. •Writing software in multiple languages (Typescript, React, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, SQL)•Troubleshooting across multiple large pipelines and learning at hyper-speed both in and outside of your current domain. As the Software Engineer, your background should include:•Proficiency in Typescript and React; (React Native, Swift, Kotlin, SQL are a plus)•Familiarity with abstract syntax trees (ASTs)•Experience with CI/CD methodologies, using relevant tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, Git, etc.)•Experience with deploying at least one cloud provider at scale (AWS/GCP/Azure)•Experience with databases, such as SQL, NoSQL, etc.•Experience in accessibility and compliance is a plus, but not a requirement.•Strong understanding of WCAG and ARIA is a plus, but not a requirement.•IAAP certification is a plus, but not a requirement.*Candidates with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
