DUTIES: Implement software critical to the MongoDB Atlas infrastructure. Work with multiple infrastructure and authentication technologies within each major cloud provider. Design software to improve performance and scalability of the Atlas infrastructure. Review code to ensure quality and security of implementation from other engineers. Mentor junior engineers with domain knowledge of Java, implementation patterns, and system design. Assist support and engineering staff with ensuring customer success. Must appear in office 3 days per week. Work from home permissible 2 days per week. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation.Experience and/or education must include: 1.Building modern, scalable web applications with distributed systems, heavy database usage, and high-levels of scale;2.Writing backend systems in any of the following compiled languages: Java, C#, Go;3.AWS, Azure, and/or GCP;4.Observability and alerting, such as Prometheus and Grafana;5.Single-page front-end applications and their general design patterns; and6.Code review.OTHER: Job Site: 1633 Broadway, 38th Floor, New York, NY 10019; Must appear in office 3 days per week.
