What you will do:

Sterling National Bank is looking for someone to join our team as a Vendor Management Analyst. In this position you will, meet with business units to understand evolving business requirements and how various resource options can meet those needs. Review Vendor Initiation Forms (VIF), complete Inherent Risk Ratings (IRR) and identify due diligence materials required from the vendor.

Core Job Responsibilities/Key Activities/Elements:

  1. Obtain necessary information and process request from the business units to onboard or off board Medium and Low risk vendors ensuring all necessary documents are submitted to the appropriate departments to be reviewed/approved (Legal, Credit, Information Security, BSA, BCP and any other necessary department).

  2. Perform scheduled vendor reviews, obtain all necessary paperwork and submit it to appropriate department.

  3. Review Vendor Initiation Form (VIF) submitted by the Business Unit and complete an Inherent Risk Rating (IRR) as well as supply a listing of required due diligence material required from the vendor for review.

  4. Review and confirm the VIF and IRR with the Business Unit.

  5. Ensure any new service is not already obtained by another business unit of the organization.

  6. Analyze and review contracts annually with various business units to ensure: the services provided is the same as what the vendor was contracted to perform, they understand the risk associated with the vendor and any changes are reported and reviewed / re-evaluated

  7. Evaluate all contracts throughout the organization to determine if there is any overlap which can create an opportunity to consolidate or leverage the organizations buying power.

  8. Maintain and update any necessary reports / spreadsheets and submit to upper management as needed.

  9. Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills

  1. Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration

  2. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

  3. Strong communication and writing skills

  4. Strong negotiation and networking skills

  5. Good interpersonal skills

Required Experience

  1. For this position, you must have at least 1 year of experience in Contract Review.
