What you will do:
Sterling National Bank is looking for someone join our team as the Senior Procurement Analyst. In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the sourcing of equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. Submit recommendations to enhance the strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers. Send Request For Proposals (RFP) as needed for services to multiple vendors on behalf of the business unit. Develop, maintain and submit reports and functional metrics to management for procurement such as cost/term saves, improved efficiencies achieved, RFP status report, etc.
Submit formal Request For Proposal (RFP) to potential vendors on behalf of the business units. Coordinate all timelines and partner with stakeholders to ensure clear documentation of requirements.

Perform analysis and provide a matrix of the results of the RFP to the business unit as well as ensure all required documentation is received from the potential vendor.
Evaluate all contracts throughout the organization to determine if there is any overlap which can create an opportunity to consolidate or leverage the organizations buying power. Ensure any new service is not already obtained by another business unit of the organization.
Assist in monitoring business trends and product availability to pay the optimal price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times. Recommend negotiation strategies providing optimal terms.
Assist in identifying and researching potential new suppliers. Research new products and services to meet the business unit’s needs.
Perform cost and scenario analysis.
Assess, manage and mitigate risks associated with the total cost of company purchases. Assist in placing orders as necessary.
Assist business units to resolve any issues.
Assist in issuing corporate credit cards as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration
