The Clinical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for initial triage of members, and the administrative intake of patients. Includes managing incoming calls, managing requests for services from providers / members, providing information on available network services and transferring members as appropriate to clinical staff. The navigator calls the patient, updates demographics, updates communication preferences, checks eligibility, works recalls, and pushes out electronic access to medical record.

This position is full-time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 3 Delaware Drive, Suite 200, Lake Success, NY.

We offer 2 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00 AM on the first day and then 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted on - site.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative intake of members

  • Calling on all referrals for the organization within 24-48 hours of the referral being entered

  • Calls the patient, updates demographics, update communication preferences, checks eligibility, works recalls, and pushing out my chart

  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, demographic intake, notification and census roles

  • Managing provider templates for patient access optimization

This is high volume, customer service environment. You’ll need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone. You also must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)

  • Ability to work on - site from Monday - Friday at 3 Delaware Drive, Suite 200, Lake Success, NY

  • Ability to work any shift between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST from Monday - Friday

  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in working with health care insurance

  • 2+ years of experience with working in a health care facility - hospital, physician's office, OR medical clinic setting

  • 2+ years of experience with a clerical OR administrative support background

  • 2+ years of experience with working in a call center

  • Customer service experience

  • Knowledge of ICD - 9 and CPT codes

  • EPIC knowledge and experience

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for New York residents is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour.
