Staff Accountant:

Due to substantial growth, a leading company in the Annapolis area is seeking a strong Staff Accountant. This organization has a ton of growth and upward mobility along with a fun work environment with 1-2 days per week in the office. My client does business all over the world and will allow exposure to exciting accounting and finance issues. This is the type of role that will be a great transition for Staff Accountants coming out of public accounting and looking to keep their career on a top track in industry. This individual must be able to effectively handle concurrent projects, meet deadlines and consistently produce high quality work. CPA is a plus and candidates MUST HAVE a BS degree in Accounting or Finance. Any exposure to the Real-Estate industry is a plus but NOT required.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes

• Maintain the general ledger and account reconciliations.

• Perform various analysis on financial information

• Support annual budget and mid-year forecast processes

• Prepare monthly journal entries and related schedules

• Participate in special projects as requested by senior management

•Assist in external financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of GAAP

• 1+ years of total experience.
